Just another day in paradise? :)
Some days I can understand why the people of your felt the Earth was flat, because I certainly feel very flat today!
I think it's a combination of a lack of exercise in the last couple of weeks, my relationship not being where it should be for someone getting married later this year, and so much work it sometimes gets a little overwhelming. My dog also annoyed me this morning by digging more holes through my nicely growing grass, and my neighbour informing me he has also cracked our shared fence by continually running into it because it drives him batty when my neighbour does stuff in his yard. My dog is very cute, but not the brightest canine this planet has ever seen :)
Anyway, I'm in at work with a couple of loyal employees, whilst the rest of my slackers have the day off. My fault for giving them the day off I guess :) Anyway, I'm not achieving a great deal here, I should probably just go home, but I won't, things to be done. It's going to be a long day!
On a political note, what an amazing situation in Israel. Since Sharon's stroke everything just seems to have gone downhill. With Hamas suddenly finding itself in power, what on Earth is going to happen? Apparently they gained power because they're actually very good at keeping general law and order, and in helping people in their area of Israel. But no Government will deal with them, and formally they're dedicated to the destruction of Israel. It will be interesting to see how this one plays out. Any overt sign of agression will lead to Israel reoccupying the area the Palestinians control, and then, who knows. I hope for a miracel where Hames actually uses its new position to try and lead the area to peace. Perhaps I'm too optimistic :)
Oh, last note, it was my birthday yesterday. I think I'm outdoing myself in celebrating now. It's been years since I bothered to even look at the fireworks. Last year I came off an International flight and slept for the day :) This year I managed a nice breakfast at a cafe with some friends, but when we got home my fiance was so tired she slept for 3 hours, and we ended the day with junk food for tea and a DVD. I didn't mind it at all actually, and my fiance kept singing me happy birthday all day the nutter, but it does somehow seem to be a little lame doesn't it!? What can you expect at the ripe old age of 33? GRIN
