Life returns to normal...
So it seems my house is back to normal. Not that I ever felt anything myself, but hey, neither did I really want to. Now back to normality and another busy week at work, deprived of sleep. Landed some new jobs, will have to look for more staff, but I guess I shouldn't complain.
Last weekend was great though, even though the Eagles lost. Caught a 6am plane to Melbourne on Sat morning, dropped bags off where I was staying in the Docklands, then straight to the game at the MCG. What an atmosphere with 92 000 people, probably over 60 000 of them in the bloody red and white! Tight game, with the Eagles coming back from way behind but not being able to finish it off. They had their chances, but they made too many errors. Well done to Sydney for cramping their running game, although it is an ugly style of footy they play.
Aferwards found me out at a bar in South Bank with my old man and friends, followed by a long boozy night at a bar in the Crown Casino with my step-brother and step-sister and their mates. My step-sis picked up a guy who my step-brother and I both threatened with violence to defend her honour, but we found out the next day that "Tor" the brick shithouse was a Marine in the British Navy, a de-miner, who could probably kill me in 3 seconds with his bare hands :)
A good night anyway, except for the hangover and forced family lunch next day! Quiet night in that night as I wanted a good Sunday, which lead to a great Italian lunch, some shopping and sightseeing, followed by a great chinese dinner and many drinks. Then back on the plane at 6am and straight to work. Did I feel good?! No :) Good time though. And I'll be back there in a month for another wedding.
