: Another entry!?
I'm going to shock Nikki here and UPDATE in less than a week!
Been an unusual week. I sacked someone at work, never a pleasant thing. I also got an eye infection and ignored it for too long before going to the Doctor, which was stupid, I could have ended up hospitalized. So I looked pretty ugly for 5 days, thank God today I look human again!
A couple of unusual thoughts this week. For some reason many of my thoughts relate to comparing my youth to now, many people say I'm obsessed by my age, and yeah, I probably am. But it's still interesting anyway.
I have been listening to some early 90s music, which was when I was in my late teens and early 20s, a time when I was really discovering myself. I listened to one of my favourite bands from then, DefFX, which some of you may know, but are probably more familiar with the lead singer, Fiona Horne - self declared witch. Anyway, I had plenty of their CDs, went to their concerts, had great fun moshing to them etc. But now the music doesn't do much for me! Musically it's pretty average, especially her voice, although it does still have a raw energy and the synth music is pretty good.
Then I listened to Depeche Mode today. I don't have shitloads of their stuff, never been mad about them - but did like them But now the damn stuff sounds so much better. Isn't it funny how our opinions like that can change so radically?!
I'm also trying to get some work that needs to be done this afternoon, and suddenly that old feeling from Uni and school days hit me. The deadline feeling, and the oh why don't you do some work you lazy bugger? GRIN
Enough reminiscing, I'm getting back to my book, and my lazy weekend :) No more weddings for another 6 weeks!
